Thanks to your vile pledges, we have unlocked our fifth Stretch Goal! We are expanded the Remarkable Cults book with an extra series of villainous characters!
15 New Leader Profiles Unlocked!
The leaders of the book’s pre-made factions are dangerous and fascinating, but what if you want a fully fleshed-out villainous leader to build a new faction around, or just a new adversary to drop into your game? This Stretch Goal unlocks over a dozen new leader profiles, complete with motivations, personalities, and backstories! They make your GM life a little easier because they give you a blueprint (blackprint?) to create truly memorable characters with depth and mystery.
We’re planning on making these leader profiles as varied and intriguing as possible to encompass the full spectrum of villainy, from the charismatic con-man to the cold and calculating mastermind! “Evil is a point of view,” a wise man once said...
What’s Next? Our next Stretch Goal is a High-Quality Print Run of the books, which will ensure that their binding, page quality, and cover are made with durable, beautiful materials. This will transform the book from being functional to being a real piece of RPG art!

Thanks to your villainous pledges, we have unlocked our 40kand 50kStretch Goal. Christopher and Robin worked well into the night to keep you updated on the funding progress, but at one point had to crash. I'm here to update you on the latest (early morning in the Netherlands), comment below to chime in!

High-Quality Print Run Unlocked!
The Stretch Goal unlocks the required budget to manufacture the books with higher-quality paper stock, the best-quality binding, and a fantastic overall finish, ensuring that it can stand proudly on your shelf next to your other RPG books (because let’s be honest, every GM loves a beautiful book). This is one of the goals we always hope to hit because, deep down, we don’t just want to publish great writing and art, we want to print a book that can last for as long as you’re a GM.
If you own one of our recently reissued Remarkable Inns or Shops books (not the one from DriveThruRPG) you will know what quality to expect:
Custom patterned end papers featuring the Loresmyth quill. Each hardcover book has its own unique colored end-papers.

Player-Operated Cults Appendix Unlocked!
The Stretch Goal allows us to add a whole new section on how players can build their own dark faction, from recruitment to building a headquarters to furthering their devious schemes! Do your players have what it takes to seize control of a city, or traffick with eldritch beings? Will their dark empire spread far and wide or crumble immediately?
Every party entertains the idea of going renegade sooner or later, and this section gives the GM a framework for players to build on, as well as a new way to challenge them--it’s not easy being a dark lord, after all!

Thanks to your depraved pledges, we have unlocked our eighth Stretch Goal! This is one of the coolest because it means we’re adding two new factions to the book...and you get to vote on them!
Backer-Voted Bonus Cults Unlocked!
This Stretch Goal puts the power in your hands! Come up with your best ideas for a new pre-made faction to be featured in the book and we’ll collect the best and put them in a poll where backers can vote on them! Want to see a deadly clan of renegade drow in the book? What about a gang of steampunk highwaymen?
Just to keep things from going off the rails, we’re going to reserve the right to make the final decisions and handle the writing, but the backers with the winning ideas will be credited in the book!

Thanks to your insalubrious pledges, we have unlocked our fourth Stretch Goal! This is a juicy one because it brings dark, brand-new magical weapons, armor, and more to your games!
Infernal Items, Weapons, and Armor Unlocked!
Sometimes, in the pursuit of power, players find themselves tempted to wield terrible and forbidden items whose very natures are intertwined with darkness, destruction, and debauchery. Or villainous NPCs your players are up against will wield the foulest of artifacts. These items might take the form of a soul-eating sword, a suit of charred armor forged by infernal smiths, or something altogether more devious than anyone’s imagination...
This new catalogue of Infernal items is designed to go beyond the clichés of demonic weapons and cursed staffs and deliver dark items that are truly unique, tantalizing, and powerful for players to use, whether in combat or when roleplaying! This is going to be exciting!
What’s Next? Our next goal is to unlock 15 New Cult Leader Profiles! Rather than being tied to our eight pre-made factions, these profiles will give you an intriguing, fully formed leader that you can use for any dark organization! Each one will come with a fleshed-out personality, a backstory, motivations, and more!

Thanks to your unholy pledges, we have unlocked our third Stretch Goal! This is a big one, because it means more of our page artwork will be illustrated in glorious color!
Expanded Color Artwork Unlocked!
We love the beautiful, ancient-looking pencil art of Remarkable Inns and Remarkable Shops, but we’ve been excited to bring more color illustrations into the Remarkable Cults book as well. Now, the key illustrations will be rendered in full color paintings, turning them into atmospheric artworks to enjoy for years to come.
With every Remarkable book we are stepping up our game in terms of production quality, and Cults is beyond doubt becoming the best-looking in the series so far…
